May is finally here, and with it comes the start of another exciting riding season, and we couldn’t be more ready! May is also Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month, a time when we encourage everyone, riders and motorists alike, to share the road responsibly. As more bikes hit the pavement, it’s important to stay alert, ride smart, and look twice. And as we celebrate all the great things May brings, we also want to wish a very Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms who ride, support riders, and keep our community strong. Thanks mom!
You asked for it, and we are bringing it back! This month, we are kicking off the 2026 Ride n’ Win Contest. If you disposed of your old card or lost it, that’s okay. We’re starting from scratch, and this year’s Ride n’ Win Contest is going to be bigger and better than ever thanks to the Presenting Sponsor; Attorney Larry R. Maitland II from Michigan Biker Law and the Grand Prize Sponsors at Steel Horse Ranch in Caro, MI. We’re introducing new Ride Cards, a fresh new look, and an updated check-in process designed to make participation easier. Even better, we’re stepping up the prize giveaways for the end-of-season party. Be sure to check out all the details in this issue so you don’t miss your chance to join in the fun.
Now, let’s talk about bike nights. Steel Horse Ranch launched the 2026 Bike Night season early at The Post in Cass City on April 8th, and the turnout was impressive, especially for a 50° and dropping evening. It was great to see so many familiar faces, along with some new rides, coming out to kick off the dust on another season. Don’t forget to mark your calendars! The last Friday of each month Thunder Roads® Michigan is hosting Bike Nights at Vehicle City Harley-Davidson in Flint, MI with fun games and prizes leading up to the finale on September 11th. And don’t forget to grab your 2026 Bike Night raffle tickets for the 2007 Dyna Low Rider that a lucky winner will be taking home just in time for Bikes on the Bricks. 2026 is already shaping up to be a fantastic season, and we look forward to seeing you out on them Thunder Roads® and upcoming events.
