FALLING BACKWARDS
Is it possible we actually won’t be “falling backward” for daylight saving time this year? I know some of you probably don’t care either way, but honestly, I’d rather not gain an extra hour—I already have enough to do in a day!
Regardless of what happens with the clocks, we are in the absolute full swing of riding season right now. We know many of you are packed and gearing up for those long, epic treks out to Sturgis and whatever other directions the wind takes you. While they might eventually drop the time changes, they can’t stop the temperatures from eventually dropping too—but let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet! We’ve been pushing 100-degree days lately, and there is still a massive amount of riding left to be had this season. Plus, putting a little extra highway between us and the Canadian wildfire smoke certainly wouldn’t hurt!
We’re looking forward to some late-season miles ourselves. Over a year ago, we made plans with friends to ride down to the Florida Keys in October. It will be our first time making that trip, and we can’t wait to hit the coast.
Thunder Rally in the Valley: Adapting & Overcoming
August 21-23, 2026, brings our Thunder Rally in the Saginaw Valley, and if there’s one thing this lifestyle teaches you, it’s how to adapt and overcome. We had high hopes of bringing our vision of a U.S. veteran rally to the Tri-Cities on a much larger scale, but man, it is tough out there right now! Honestly, we had moments where we thought about canceling and starting over next year, but we decided—why not push forward? We have nothing to lose, and most importantly, we’ve already raised a decent amount of money for the USS Edson Museum to fund overnight stays on the ship for our veterans.
At the end of the day, this event was never about us—it has always been for them. So, either way, that makes it a win. Besides, we don’t need an excuse or a reason to have fun; we just do!
We truly hope you’ll ride out and join us for the weekend. Please consider making a donation to the Saginaw Naval Ship Museum by taking a ship tour and participating in our scavenger hunt ride. Remember, rustic tent camping is available for donations, and we’ll be spending the evenings hanging out around the campfire jamming to some tunes.
