Letter From The Owners – April 2024

Seasons of Change

Like most of us, when I hear those words, I think of winter, spring, summer, and fall.  And as Michiganders we base so much of our lives and our activities around what we see through our windows.  A lot of times we struggle with the old “It looks bad out, should I risk it?”  Yep, we usually do because we are Michiganders and just like our seasons change, so can the daily forecast.  We are almost forced to live in the moment and be adventurous!  Well, most of us -lol.  Trust me, there are moments where it really is too hot, cold, or wet.  But man, those can make for some great memories too!  No, I’m not a meteorologist who constantly loves to talk about the weather, but here in Michigan it seems like it’s almost a way of saying hello to one another.  We greet each other with idioms like, “Burrrrr…”, “Is it wet enough for ya?” or the occasional “Whew, it feels good in here.”

Metaphorically, think about someone saying, “April showers bring May flowers” and what we see through the windows of our eyes.   It can remind us that with the seasons of change, we all deal with our own level of day-to-day challenges mixed in with highs and lows and that tomorrow brings a new day.  For us, looking back over the past 12 months and reflecting on how far we’ve come, it is astounding.  We overcame some major struggles in our first four seasons combined, but WE MADE IT!  Let’s accept the new challenges we face, and not forget to enjoy the moments in between.  Riding season is here!
