Wow, so much is going on these days on all fronts. You don’t need me to tell you about it because everywhere we turn someone is pushing their opinion, agenda, beliefs, or what they heard or saw. Most of the time it’s garbage that spreads like wildfire because someone had to be the first to say it or didn’t care to wait for the truth to come out. Hell, what is truth anymore? Are we even allowed to speak the truth? Does anyone even know the difference any longer? It’s a shame that resources have become slim for honest information and that accountability has gone to the wayside. Why are “we” so quick to jump on the band wagon not knowing who’s leading it? Personally, I find it can be quite overwhelming if I don’t turn it off and yet like most of us, I struggle with looking away from the trainwreck. Luckily, I’m not tripping over the piles of nonstop information falling to the ground and have found my own way to sift through the BS and chatter. No, I’m not claiming to be a wiseman, lol. But between social media, news sources, blogs, friends, family, politicians, and the mound of memes we get fed every second of the day, it’s hard to do these days. Shaking your head and walking away can be very good for your mind and soul. So, I encourage anyone that made it this far with me to clear their vision and think for yourself. Don’t paint yourself in a box or entangle your feelings with others. Think freely and take the path that fits YOU best. Don’t be a follower or be forced to go along because you got wrapped up. Clean the slate and open your mind to a path that zig zags from left to right over and over but gets you where YOU want to end up. I know there is a lot of reading between the lines here, but I don’t want to be biased or push any views. Like I said, there is enough of that already going on and it’s suffocating. I encourage you to take a deep breath, take a step back, and look around. At its core this adage is about the importance of decision-making that’s guided by a set of values.
“You’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything.”
Hopefully you get a chuckle like I did hearing Mr. Aaron Tippin belting out those fitting words.
